Kite surfing: Dolphin Beach - Cape Town Wind Direction: SE Wind Stength: 25 - 32knots Surf / Sea State: 4ft messy surf Air Temperature: 26C Sea Temperature: cool Weather: Sunshine Max Speed: Distance Covered:
The SE wind continuously picked up all day and especially so after 4PM.
We decided to head back to Dolphin beahc for an afternoon session in the
crazy winds. I luanched and I was pretty much maxed out from the word go.
The wind continually picked up and I came in after an hour as it was
getting a bit impossible out there. Ernst came along to see how I was
getting on so I gave him a few more tips in how to get into the sport.
The wind was past the 30knot stage by now and was too much for me and my 9,
I decided to give it a go anyway and did a downwinder to Blouberg central a
few 100 metres further down the beach. It didn't take long to get there and
luckily there was another kiter on hand to land my kite.
Quickly rushed back to the backpackers and got myself ready for the next
party with Charlane in Durbanville. Not a bad day in all and seriously
sunburnt from spending the whole day exposed to the sun.
